Immune response, Healthy aging and inflammation
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are produced as a consequence of metabolic processes. When antioxidant capabilities are overwhelmed by the burden of ROS multiple cellular damages occur leading to "oxidative stress". TetraSOD® stimulates antioxidant defenses via activation of Nrf2, the master antioxidant switch.
